Porsche 911 Turbo

The fastest 911 is in the race. It was presented to customers in Germany and the USA for the first time on June 3, 2000. The new 911 Turbo reaches a top speed of 305 km/h. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The 3.6-liter engine also sets new standards. With the help of the two exhaust turbochargers with intercooler, the six cylinders produce 309 kW (420 hp) at 6,000 rpm. The impressive torque of 560 Nm is available from just 2,700 rpm. The outstanding position of the new 911 Turbo is not only expressed in excellent engine data and performance, but is also underlined by a very extensive range of standard equipment and a new body design. Compared to its 911 brothers, it has a completely redesigned front and rear section and appears significantly more powerful with its wider fenders.

Porsche 911 GT3

The GT3 is one of the fastest representatives of the 911 family alongside the Turbo. It takes just 7.56 minutes to complete a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Its 3.6-liter engine is based on the 6-cylinder boxer engine of the 911 GT1 and produces 265 kW (360 hp). It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 302 km/h. The 911 GT3 is the successor to the "RS" model and can be used in the Clubsport version as a major upgrade at motorsport events.

Porsche 911 Carrera

The coupe, which celebrated its premiere at the IAA in 1997, has a water-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine behind the rear axle, 3.4 liter displacement, 221 kW (300 hp) at 6,800 rpm, maximum torque 350 Newton meters at 4,600 rpm, six-speed manual transmission or optionally Tiptronic S with manual intervention in "D". The body is characterized by low air resistance (Cw=0.30), minimal lift, a spacious interior and a usable trunk. Wheel suspensions with elastokinematic toe-in correction guarantee safe driving characteristics. With a curb weight of 1,320 kilograms, the Porsche 911 is one of the lightest vehicles in its class.

Standard equipment includes electrically adjustable driver and passenger seat backs and the "Porsche CR 22" cassette radio with cassette box. Also included in the standard equipment is the automatic air conditioning system with activated carbon filter, which regulates the desired interior temperature with the help of an outside and inside temperature sensor and a sun sensor.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4

As a coupe or a convertible, with a six-speed manual transmission or with the five-speed Tiptronic S-, the Carrera 4 offers 911 enthusiasts all possible variations. The permanent all-wheel drive with variable power distribution to the front axle is carried out via a viscous coupling.

The Carrera 4 also underlines its particularly high technical standards with the standard Porsche Stability Management (PSM). The existing longitudinal dynamics control systems such as anti-lock braking system, traction control and automatic brake differential are expanded by a lateral dynamics control. Through targeted braking intervention and driver-independent control of engine power can also control driving stability when cornering. The tried-and-tested water-cooled boxer engine with 221 kW (300 hp) is used as the engine.

Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet and Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet

The Cabriolet has been part of the 911 series since spring 1998. The technical basis is the 911 Carrera or the 911 Carrera 4. The engine is identical in both the rear-axle and the four-wheel-drive Cabriolet version. When developing the 911, the focus was on the open version from the outset. This makes the body particularly torsion-resistant. The top has an electrohydraulic operation that enables fully automatic opening and closing at the push of a button within 20 seconds. The standard equipment of the convertible corresponds in all essential aspects to that of the Carrera Coupé or Carrera 4. The convertible also comes with an aluminum hardtop, which is easy to handle by two people due to its low weight of 33 kg. The unladen weight of the convertible is 1,395 kg.

Porsche Boxster S

Porsche expanded the Boxster into a series and offers a second model, the Boxster S, whose performance and equipment are significantly better than the basic version. The Boxster S draws its power from a 3.2-liter displacement. This increase in displacement not only guarantees a significant increase in power to 185 kW (252 hp) at 6,250 rpm, but also an increase in torque to 305 Newton meters at 4,500 rpm. Acceleration with the new standard six-speed manual transmission from 0 to 100 km/h is 5.9 seconds, and the top speed is 260 kilometers per hour. Perforated brake discs in the dimensions of the 911 Carrera ensure excellent deceleration. Extensive standard equipment, including 17-inch alloy wheels and an alarm system with interior monitoring, as well as special equipment details such as titanium-colored air intakes at the front, red-painted brake calipers and twin exhaust tailpipes, distinguish the Boxster S from the basic version.

Porsche Boxster

The mid-engine roadster comes with a 2.7-liter engine and extended standard equipment. The six cylinders produce 162 kW (220 hp) at 6,400 rpm. The Boxster sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds with a standard five-speed manual transmission. The top speed is 250 km/h. In the interior, the new Boxster impresses above all with the use of high-quality materials. The seats are covered in fine Alcantara. The plastic parts in the area of the redesigned dashboard, the center console, the seats and the door panels are treated with black soft varnish. And leather is used to cover the steering wheel rim, gear lever, handbrake lever and door handle. Like the Boxster S, the Boxster is now also equipped with a roof liner and a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with a colored Porsche crest. From this model year, both vehicles can also be equipped with Porsche Stability Management (PSM) on request.
