Porsche and the Roof Transport Program

Attachments to complement the base carrier.

The versatile applications of the Porsche roof transport system are achieved through the large selection of special attachments that are precisely matched to the respective base carrier.

Regardless of whether the ski rack, the bicycle rack, or the universal luggage rack is required, the horizontally aligned support rails always ensure easy and secure installation.

The steel cable, which can be locked to the base carrier, protects your valuable sports equipment against theft. It can also be used with other attachments.

In addition to the necessary tools, each base carrier also comes with an instruction manual containing tips for correct installation and safety instructions for driving with roof loads.

Your Porsche is even equipped to meet the transport requirements of various water sports equipment if you complement the base carrier with appropriate attachments.

With large sports equipment, the wind creates additional loads on the carrier and vehicle, requiring adjustments to your driving style and speed. The towing eye included in the vehicle tool kit has proven to be a useful additional securement for large loads.

For larger transport tasks, we recommend using a trailer hitch, as shown on pages 24/25 on a 928 S4 (author's note: pages of the original brochure).

The boat rack's rubber blocks are secured with retaining plates to prevent slipping on the support rail. Metal eyelets for the included tensioning straps are also attached to the screwed retaining plates.
