The Porsche 911 possesses uniqueness, character and tradition like no other sports car. Since it appeared in 1963 Porsche engineers have given the rear-engined sports car constant further development. With numerous famous motor sport variants and victories in major races the Zuffenhausen sports car manufacturer has demonstrated the potential in the concept designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche.

For the special model, a 911 Carrera 4 beneath the 911 Turbo body,

they used the specially-created colors viola metallic for the paint as well as rubicon gray for the leather interior. Technically the Thirty 911 Yearse model is based on the Carrera 4 with electronic and dynamically controlled four-wheel drive. Porsche then combined this basis with the body of the Turbo model. That means: bulging fenders front and rear, naturally with properly widened track, plus a chassis adapted to four-wheel drive. 17 inch Cup Design wheels are fitted which underline the sportingly elegant note of the car.

The rear spoiler with integrated intercooler, attached firmly to the engine compartment lid of the Porsche 911 Turbo, could be left off the special Thirty 911 Years model. Instead, this anniversary version features the rear spoiler of the Carrera 2/4 which extends automatically at higher speeds. The combination of wider Turbo body with spoiler retracted at rest produces attractive looks of the overall car.

The interplay of innovative drive technology with wider track produces further- improved driving dynamics for the Thirty 911 Years" model compared to the former Carrera 4. Performance figures remain unchanged. The six-cylinder ooxer engine in the car's tail produces 250 HP (184 kW), torque peaks at 310 newtons at 4800 RPM. A top speed of 255 km/h can be reached, while 100 comes up in 5.7 seconds from a standing start.

Technical changes were complemented by an entire range of attractive desi- gner ideas for colors and the interior. Two new colors exclusive to this special series were created in the Porsche Design Studio. They are particularly harmoniously matched. The exterior skin is painted viola metallic, a dark tone which projects a very elegant blue-violet glow in certain light. This color will only be offered on this special model.

Interior fittings finished in exclusive rubicon gray tone

Full leather fittings, including the steering wheel and shift knob, decorate the interior. A silver-colored metal plate with shift pattern is set into the shift lever, Dial faces in the dash are done in rubicon gray to match the leather.

A "911" script is embroidered inconspicuously into the backs of the folding rear seat backs. Finally, the eye is drawn to the matt-silver gleam of a "911" script with "30 jahre" below it, on the engine lid.

A silver-color metal plaque - set on the rear shelf - carries the number of each car: only 911 examples of the Carrera 4 in anniversary trim will be built. In addition there will be various Carrera 4s with Turbo bodywork in other colors and trim. However, the total series of this model is limited to 1500 cars.
