Porsche racing cars (the 935 and 911 SC) not only achieve victories at the IMSA and TransAm Championships, but also at the European Championships (three wins) and the World Long Drive Championship. Another highlight of the season is the 24 Hours of Daytona, where Porsche takes all three spots on the podium.
1980
In collaboration with Airbus Industrie, the engineers at Weissach start working on the design of an ergonomic cockpit layout for Airbus passenger aircraft. The development project (referred to as the “2603”) runs from 1980 to 1984.
1980
Production of the Porsche 928 S started in the autumn 1979 for the MY 1980. This noble sports car, fitted with front and rear spoilers, generates an output of 300 hp.
