All three Porsche Model Series are produced at the Porsche Zuffenhausen plant, where a combination of state-of-the-art technology and hand craftsmanship ensures that every Porsche is finished to the highest possible standard. Only the highest quality materials are utilised and even they are subject to stringent quality control checks throughout the production process. This attention to detail is exemplified by the use of special zinc-dipped fully galvanised sheet steel for much of the bodywork. If the bodywork is scratched, the zinc covering spreads over the affected area allowing the bodywork, in essence, to heal and protect itself. Such confidence is demonstrated in the extensive warranties Porsche offer. Porsche was the first car manufacturer to offer a 10 year anti-corrosion body warranty. In addition, the paintwork is protected by a 3 year paint defect warranty and mechanical components by a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty.
One of the most distressing parts of owning a car is being involved in an accident. Regardless of how careful or experienced a driver, it's always prudent to prepare for the unexpected. With this in mind, Porsche have developed a tailor made insurance programme. In the event of an accident, Porsche Insurance guarantees that repair work will be completed at an Official Porsche Centre or Approved Body Repairer. Only Genuine Porsche Parts will be fitted by Porsche trained technicians. And with a wide range of policies available, including special cover for classic and low mileage cars, the scheme can be tailored to suit each Porsche model. The first two years of Porsche ownership come complete with an extensive motoring support programme - Porsche Assistance. This bespoke home and roadside recovery service is operated on behalf of Porsche by Mondial Assistance, one of the most experienced motoring organisations in the world. With their network of Emergency Centres throughout Europe, manned by experienced multilingual staff (24 hours a day, 365 days a year), expert assistance is always just a telephone call away whenever and wherever you travel in the U.K. and Europe. Should the unthinkable happen and your Porsche be rendered immobile through breakdown, accident or just a simple loss of keys, Porsche Assistance will be there to help. To minimise the inconvenience to the Porsche owner and passengers, allowances are also provided for car hire, hotel accommodation or onward travel.
Each Centre in the Official Porsche Centre Network is regularly assessed in order to maintain standards that Porsche owners deserve. A Porsche requires first class maintenance and, therefore, only a Porsche trained technician is truly qualified to complete service and repair work. Through regular courses at Porsche's Reading Headquarters, technicians are trained on all the latest technical innovations from Porsche AG in Germany. Moreover, at an Official Porsche Centre you have the satisfaction of knowing that all work carried out will be with Genuine Porsche Parts. Porsche have always believed that to sustain engineering standards on the road, components must first prove themselves in the arduous conditions of international motorsport. Using only the finest quality raw materials, all components are designed and tested to exacting standards in order to ensure the highest quality is maintained. For instance, a sample of Porsche alloy wheels are screened using high tech X-ray equipment to highlight even the minutest flaw that could prove hazardous. The fitment of Genuine Porsche Parts not only provides a guarantee of the parts themselves, it also maintains the protection of the Porsche bodywork, paint and mechanical warranties.
