Four 1.5-litre Wikovs took part already in the first Brno Grand Prix in 1930. Two of these were later re-built in the factory and in their innovated form appeared on 4 September 1932 on the start of the third Brno Grand Prix.
One, driven by Jaroslav Konečník, ended in category of 1.5-litre cars in seventh place but after the time limit. The other, driven by Adolf Szczyzycki, finished with average speed of 84 km/h in sixth place within the prescribed time limit of 45 minutes after winner of the category and became the historically first domestically produced car to be classified in any Grand Prix.
Szczyzycki drove the car exhibited here, which survived in collections of the NTM, also in the fifth Brno Grand Prix on 30 September 1934. In its category, it ended in seventh place with average speed of 89.9 km/h, but of the prescribed fifteen rounds managed to complete only thirteen.
Sports and racing car with a water-cooled four-stroke four-cylinder OHC engine located lengthwise behind the front axle and with a rear-wheel drive.
