Highlights

As announced in the second half of the previous year, the Model Year 1988 highlights were the upgrade of the 924S and a Clubsport version of the venerable 911 Carrera 3.2 (lightened by 50 kg and equipped with a reduced-stroke gearbox and a limiter raised by 300 rpm), as well as an extended range of options available for all models.

Extended application of the new "same power, with or without catalyst" philosophy.

There were 5 "exclusive" models in a limited edition (2 for the 924, 2 for the 944 and, last but not least, the "Carrera Jubilee", which celebrated the 250,000 units built of the 911, a milestone reached in the summer of 1987).
