PORSCHE 924
With the 924, Porsche designers managed to fulfill almost irreconcilable wishes:
- A pure-bred sports car - but with plenty of space for a driver;
- comfortably enough for two adults, two children and a lot of luggage;
- full-fledged Porsche engineering - using tried and tested large-scale units and thus optimum value for money and maximum driving pleasure - at an affordable price.
A new Porsche construction principle makes a decisive contribution to achieving these ambitious goals: in contrast to the classic rear-engine Porsche, the 924 has the engine at the front, the gearbox at the rear and a rigid connecting steel tube in between, in which the drive shaft runs maintenance-free and wear-free. This 'transaxle'. The design ensures ideal axle load distribution and - together with the brake-stable negative steering radius - achieves problem-free, completely neutral driving and cornering behavior. In addition to a high degree of sportiness and active safety reserves, the transaxle also has positive properties in the passive case. As the backbone of the car, it ensures that impact forces are transferred from the front to the rear or - in the case of a rear-end collision - from the rear to the front section. of course, with the rigid passenger compartment.
Maintenance intervals, low fuel consumption and modest maintenance costs make the 924 accessible to young people who would otherwise have to wait years for Porsche perfection and Porsche driving pleasure
But even comfort-loving connoisseurs do not have to forego any of the usual amenities in this sports car: for them there is the Porsche 924 with full automatic.

PORSCHE 911
The Porsche 911 is a phenomenon: it has been on the market for 12 years - and it is still at the top; only minor changes have been made to the outside, but overall it has matured to unsurpassed perfection.
What a forward-looking design the 911 has always been - and what a timeless one it still is - is not only evident in the irresistible appeal and the ever-increasing popularity of this car, but is also proven by hard data, figures and facts:
The safety and environmental tests required by the USA, which many people thought were too strict or even impossible, were passed by the Porsche straight away and without the slightest design change. Its high-performance engine makes do with (a little) regular gasoline; and the Porsche only needs to be inspected and the oil changed every 20,000 kilometers.
Porsche crowns this minimum of maintenance and servicing requirements with a maximum guarantee: As the pacesetter of the idea of the long-term car, Porsche (the only manufacturer ever!) guarantees freedom from rust for six years and thus unprecedented value retention and the highest possible return on resale. Always timeless, always contemporary and always ahead of its time - these three characteristics made the Porsche 911 the most successful of the world's classic sports cars (and its owners the most satisfied).

PORSCHE CARRERA
In the 28-year history of Porsche, several models have borne the name 'Carrera', and almost always they were either pure racing cars or at least decidedly sporty, high-performance road vehicles.
With today's Carrera 3.0, however, sportiness is no longer the top priority, but comfort is just as important. What a Porsche 911 has to offer (and that is a lot) has been improved and refined in the Carrera. The engine is even more powerful and flexible, the noise level is even lower, the equipment is even more luxurious. The Carrera sports bike is only 38 cm in diameter and has a thickly padded leather rim. Door handles and window surrounds (and the safety guard in the Targa) are matt black chrome-plated; the headlight rings and the outside mirror are painted in the same color as the car. Electric windows (also in the Targa). Rear window wiper, headlight cleaning system and automatic heating control are of course standard and make driving in the Carrera even more pleasant and safer. Under the widened rear fenders, high-speed tires of size 215/60 VR 15 on new Carrera wheels bring the 3-liter engine's 200 horsepower reliably on the ground in every situation. Front and rear stabilizers always ensure maximum road contact and - even in extreme corners - minimal body roll. The comfort of a luxurious touring sedan and the power of a thoroughbred high-performance sports car - the Carrera offers both.
Technical data
6-cylinder boxer engine, air-cooled, rear. Power transmission via the rear wheels 3.01 displacement 2993 cm 200 hp/147 kW at 6000 rpm K-jetronic compression 8.5:1 Acceleration from 0-100 in 6.3 seconds Top speed over 230 km/h With Porsche long-term guarantee.
PORSCHE TURBO
Accelerating in the Porsche Turbo is a fascinating experience every time: from a standstill to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds, to 200 km/h in a further 14.3 seconds - and even at this speed the car still has over 50 km/h in reserve. Turbocharging provides such enormous thrust. To pre-compress the intake air, it uses an energy source that would otherwise be wasted: the exhaust gas flow. This second "use of the fuel cell energy not only makes the engine more powerful, but also quieter. Intake and exhaust noise are also dampened.
The chassis with turbo-specific kinematics proves that a fast car does not have to be hard. The ultra-low profile tires on 16-inch wheels make a significant contribution to this. Height to width ratio: 50 to 100. This is racing car technology with limousine comfort. Elegance dominates the cockpit: tinted windows all around, heated front and rear windows, stereo radio with 4 speakers, station search and motor antenna, real leather upholstery and automatic heating control create an atmosphere of functional fan architecture that is appropriate for the high performance. But the Turbos are not only characterized by the power of a racing car and the comfort of a luxury sedan, but above all by their trouble-free off-road and all-weather suitability. It retains its excellent driving characteristics even in rain and snow - and its engine is not bothered by city traffic and traffic jams: a maintenance-free, contactless high-voltage capacitor ensures that the spark plugs do not soot even when driving slowly and that the ignition point is always right.
Porsche Turbo - after this car there is no improvement.
